Cyntia Kraichati

Cynthia is a PhD student in Anthropology at McGill. Her work explores the relationships between knowledge, practices and politics in health and medicine in the Middle East. Trained as a pharmacist in Lebanon, Cynthia also holds a Master in sociology from the American University in Beirut and has work experience in various health related fields in the public, private and non-profit sectors. Cynthia contributes regularly to online and print media on topics related to arts and culture in the Middle East. Her work has appeared in Arteeast, Rusted Radishes a Beirut literary and art journal, and Bidayat an Arabic language cultural quarterly.
